Most people's first stop when looking for information online is usually not the video sharing site YouTube.com.

They may go to a search engine like Google or Bing, or ask a question on Yahoo Answers, or even look for information on Facebook, but YouTube is seen as more of an entertainment type site.

This post is going to highlight a few interesting business card videos on YouTube that you may have overlooked in your search for business card advice, humor, and design.

"Steve", AKA the "cardeologist" on YouTube, is completely devoted to collecting business cards. He has over 100,000 business cards in his collection, and as you can see in the video above, that is a pretty enormous amount of cards. Sorted business cards are in binders, unsorted business cards are in plastic tubs, and Steve also has several celebrity business cards including University of Texas football coaches, Jimmy Dean, and Donald Trump. You can check Steve out at his website Cardeologist.com.

We never promised these videos would be practical. This video reveals clide8's "penny shooter business card", which allows him to load up to 10 pennies into the magazine and launch them distances up to 15 feet. Surprisingly enough, clide8's website, Cardnetics.com, actually offers several uniquely shaped business cards for sale (including a "cardapult" which can launch ammo such as wads of paper).

We've blogged about QR codes before, and this video does a great job explaining exactly how this technology works. Card receivers can use their smartphone to scan the card's QR code to automatically add the card provider's contact information to their contact list. This technology isn't everywhere yet, but it is becoming more and more common as people become more familiar with QR codes.

Another not so practical one, but maybe our female readers can get something from this. Michelle Phan shows viewers how to use a simple business card to aid in mascara application, reducing frustration from botched mascara jobs as well as creepy guys handing you their business card at the bar.

Here is another business card app for smart phones. This one works with all business cards, not just QR code business cards. Instead of manually entering and saving the contact details for every business card you receive, this app lets you take a photo of the business card which automatically extracts the contact details and adds them to your address book. Very cool.

This guy has some serious skills. If you've ever tried to throw a playing card, you know how hard it is to fling a lightweight, flat piece of card stock, but this video makes it look easy. Slicing cigarettes in half, putting out a candle, popping a balloon… who knew business cards could be so versatile?

One of my YouTube favorites, and definitely the funniest on this list… "Your business card is CRAP!" Learn why your business card is no good, and this guys is "the greatest he's ever seen".

Ahh, the classic. If you've ever seen American Psycho you'll certainly remember this scene, as Patrick Bateman shows off his new business card, then is driven to the point of insanity due to the fact that his co-workers have better cards.
