This Photoshop tutorial is going to teach you how to create a simple logo for use on your custom business card design. If you don't already have a business logo, but are ready to create a business card, using a simple, homemade logo can be a quick and free solution to your problem.

By following the steps below you will learn how to quickly and successfully create a basic logo for use on your business card. Let's get into it...

What is a Logo?

It is a recognizable and distinctive graphic design, stylized name, and/or unique symbol, for identifying an organization.

Elements of a Good Logo:

  • Distinct Shape. Images must have a definite and recognizable shape.
  • Presence. Images must fill the space allotted for the design without overwhelming the null spaces.
  • Contrast. The dark colors and light colors must complement each other. The colors of the pieces of the images must enhance the whole, even in gray scale.
  • Suitability. The design must be suitable to the character and objectives of the organization.

We will be creating a simple Logo using the built in Shape Tools in Adobe Photoshop.
